EnviroDock™ Inc. offers an affordable, stand-alone heating, air conditioning and shore power system that can be installed at truck stops, distribution centers and rest areas to provide alternatives to engine idling. Use of the system will greatly reduce noise, air pollution, and fuel costs - and allow drivers to comply with current and future anti-idling legislation requirements.
The E-Dock system is a robust, steel-enclosed, powder coated unit which delivers electronically filtered temperate air through a thermally insulated flexible hose into the truck cab via a window control panel called the Window Air Delivery Unit (WADU). The WADU is inserted into the passenger side window and then secured by raising the window and locking it into position; the driver can position the WADU in the window and seal off the opening completely. The WADU features 120V/15amp power for in-cab appliances, and simple controls for temperature and fan speed. High velocity fans and a dual ducting system for supply and return air provide excellent circulation of heating and cooling air in the cab. An optional Cat 5 internet connection can also be added. In addition to the power supplied to the driver through the WADU, every E-Dock system has a duplex 110V/15 amp power supply located on the unit itself.
The E-Dock Portable was designed for parking environments that require more flexibility. Away from a designated truck stop the E-Dock Portable can be wheeled in and out as needed and positioned as desired. It is constructed with a reinforced steel cabinet set on four 8” steel casters for maneuverability. As with the stationary unit the WADU provides one 120V/15 amp power as well as individual temperature and fan controls. In addition to the power supplied through the WADU, the system has a duplex 110V/15 amp power supply located on the unit itself.
The PowrDock system is another version of EnviroDock’s alternatives to idling. PowrDock was developed to allow drivers with shore power capable trucks and electric Auxiliary Power Units (APU) to plug into a stationary power pedestal mounted to a concrete pad. While the E-Dock system can address the entire population of trucks, there are some drivers that may only want power. Each unit is equipped with one duplex 20amp power plug and one 30amp power plug. An optional 50amp power plug available for those places that have greater load demands. Another benefit of the PowrDock is that it can be coupled with an E-Dock system to service two parking spaces at the same time.
