Espar Heater Systems offer a comprehensive range of independent and compact fuel operated air and coolant heater products. They are designed for mobile applications such as truck, bus, marine and automotive; and the systems utilize 12 or 24-volt battery systems or diesel as an on-board fuel. Espar air heaters use forced air as a heating medium for cab comfort while the Espar coolant heaters circulate the engine coolant to transfer heat.

Espar's AIRTRONIC bunk heaters are independent of both the engine and of the vehicle's own heat balance. They draw in cool room or outside air, heat this up and then deliver it to the interior of the vehicle. Air heaters are an excellent solution for commercial vehicles of every type. They can be installed just as well in the cab as in the luggage compartment or under the floor. Espar heaters maintain bunk comfort and allow you to shut down your engine and still get a quiet warm night of sleep. The AIRTRONIC 2 is a compact diesel-fired 7,500 BTU/hr. air heater, quality engineered to provide a dependable means of space heating. This heater is designed for inside mounting and ease of installation. It cycles quietly through four temperature settings in order to maintain desired temperature, while operating for 22-23 hrs on one gallon of diesel fuel. It weighs just 6 lbs. The AIRTRONIC 4 provides up to 13,650 BTU/hr. of heating for larger bunks. Various control options are available to operate the heater. It cycles through four heat output modes (boost-high-medium-low) in order to maintain the desired temperature. Standard on all heaters are fully integrated numerical diagnostics, low and high voltage safety cutouts, and automatic heat range cycling. The AIRTRONIC 4 weighs 9.9 lbs. and consumes just over a tenth of a gallon of fuel per hour on the highest heat setting. The D8LC is a more robust air heater that offers 27,296 BTUs/hr. for rapid and constant heating in colder environments. It weighs 30.8 lbs., uses 0.231 gallons per hour, and draws 9.6 amps in the highest heating mode.

Espar's HYDRONIC coolant heaters work independently of the engine and thus offer a double plus: pre-heating the vehicle's passenger compartment and the engine. The thermal energy gained is distributed through the vehicle's own heat exchanger as forced hot air and this heats the interior of the vehicle via existing air vents. The engine is warmed up with the residual heat in the cooling water. The heaters are integrated in the cooling system of the engine. These systems require no electrical plug-ins and are ideal for cold weather starting. The HYDRONIC 4 Coolant Heater provides 14,700 BTUs/hr. of heating power, and weighs just 6.4 lbs. The HYDRONIC 5 Coolant Heater provides 17,100 BTUs/hr. of heating power, and also weighs 6.4 lbs. These coolant systems are compact with all heat creation, fan distribution and plumbing neatly packaged within the unit. The coolant heaters use about a gallon of fuel for a 4-6 hour period. Installation is typically in the tool or luggage compartment. A seven day timer is available to preset the engine pre-heater. The heater is controlled electronically and works, according to heat requirements, in several power stages.

Espar also provides battery driven air conditioning systems to provide year round solutions to idling for heating and cooling. The standard warranty for these Espar products is 2 years or 2,000 hours, except for the D8LC which is warrantied for 1 year or 1,000 hrs. The support of factory-trained technicians is available through a well-developed and established network of distributors and dealers.
