The Valor TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) directly measures the tire pressure and temperature of each tire and sends the data wirelessly to the display in the cab. This allows the driver to continuously monitor tire conditions. The display unit monitors each tire's pressure and temperature in real time and automatically rotates the tire information from the first to the last axle, shifting every 4 seconds. The system will instantly send a warning signal when:
- There is significant air pressure loss
- There is a continuous slow drop in air pressure
- When the tire’s temperature rises unusually
The Valor system features internal sensors for the tires which cannot be stolen or broken off, and will not cause tire valve leaks. That means no additional cost for purchasing new sensors. It also eliminates the need to remove sensors if tires need inflating. The unique “KEY” Technology offers wireless auto learn/register technology which simplifies trailer changing efficiency. When changing trailers the trailer tire sensors will automatically and wirelessly register themselves to the tractor display. Each sensor has a unique ID chip that is installed in the back of the display. When you change the tire, simply change the ID chip position in the back of the display.
Features that allow fleet management to monitor tires are also available. For the fleet that uses or plans to use a GPRS service, all the data is sent to your central control facility with our GPRS module. For the fleet that does not use GPRS service, a Gate Receiver module can be used. When the tractor/trailer comes back to your yard, the history data will automatically be downloaded into your computer.
Keeping tires properly inflated provides numerous benefits. Fuel economy is improved. Tire life is extended and tire maintenance costs are reduced, which means less down time. Properly inflated tires also improve handling and optimize the safety of the vehicle and driver.
