The LifeForce Dynapac-LP APU is a propane fueled APU that provides 3,400 watts of continuous 120 VAC power for all accessories. The APU generator set is manufactured by Generac Power Systems, America’s leading RV generator manufacturer. The Dynapac-LP APU also offers several propane operated A/C units ranging from a 8,500 BTUs/hr. bunk unit to a 14,500 BTUs/hr. split unit. The A/C unit is matched to the needs of the truck and high efficient PTC Technology heaters are used to self-regulate current draw and wattage as temperature increases. This leads to less current draw, and lower operating costs.
Weighing only 240 lbs. it is the lightest APU on the market – leaving more pay-load to carry. It has been designed for a plug-n-play installation. Installation and maintenance are easy, as is removal if the unit needs to be transferred to another truck. Because of its light weight, no specialty lift equipment is necessary and because of its smaller size and weight, it can be positioned in more places on the truck. Mounted on the depth axis, the frame space width required is 21 inches. In many cases, it will also fit between the frame rails behind the cab.
An optional 30 amp battery charger and shorepower are available for electrified truck stop parking. It can use truck batteries (with inverter) for initial power, then battery voltage sensing will auto-start APU when batteries are low or need charging. It will automatically shut down APU and switch the power source when plugged into a shore power circuit.
Propane fuel can cost 25% to 45% less than diesel fuel and is available now at over 900 truck stops across America. The APU comes with a 2 year warranty, and there are 750 service and warranty locations in the U.S. and Canada.
