Carrier Transicold offers Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs) engineered for maximum performance, reliability and temperature control with minimum servicing, maintenance and operating costs. The Vector 6500 TRU and Vector 6600 TRU models use Carrier’s DELTEK™ Hybrid Technology which combines a diesel engine, generator, and all-electric refrigeration system to provide electric standby operation. The elimination of many items, including alternators, belts, idlers, vibrasorbers, and shaft seals used in conventional units results in lower maintenance costs. Fuel saving features such as integrated electric standby offer operational savings of up to 70% over conventional diesel units. They both feature Eco Driven features that reduce noise, diesel fuel consumption, and engine emissions. The electric standby feature further reduces emissions and allows for the use of domestic, renewable power sources. Other standard features include the Stealth™ noise reduction package, the Advance™ microprocessor control technology, DataTrak™ remote communications, TurboAir™ management system and more.
The Ultra XL TRU features the most fuel-efficient 2.2 liter, direct-injection diesel engine. Carrier’s performance-proven, low-friction CT4-134DI engine is highly fuel-efficient and features the longest factory-approved oil change intervals in the industry. It reduces friction to maximize fuel efficiency and minimize maintenance. Ultra XL comes standard with the UltraFresh 2™, the most precise capacity and temperature control system, to hold the most sensitive cargoes within two degrees of setpoint and deliver the highest quality products at peak freshness. Also included as standard are state-of-the-art microprocessor controls with virtually automatic operation, user-friendly keypad, easy-to-read displays, and automatic pre-trip setup. The primary serviceable components, including the alternator, are positioned up front for direct service access. Accessing the main compartment is easy with Carrier’s exclusive quick-release front doors. Overall the Ultra XL delivers precise temperature control, maximum capacity for rapid pulldown and recovery, lower fuel consumption, reduced product dehydration, less spoilage, and longer shelf life.
