Cascade Sierra Solutions
Cascade Sierra Solutions (CSS) is an Oregon based non-profit organization dedicated to saving fuel and reducing emissions from heavy-duty diesel engines. We work directly with regional air quality agencies and equipment manufacturers throughout the U.S. to:
• Identify proven fuel saving and emission reduction technologies.
• Promote equipment solutions that comply with regional air
quality regulations.
• Finance clean, efficient equipment upgrades through available
grants, tax incentive and low interest lending.

CSS promotes U.S. EPA SmartWay verified technologies and products certified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as well as emerging technologies that have been shown to provide quantifiable emission reduction benefits. Truck owners can be assured that these products will deliver performance because of the comprehensive third party testing required to be recognized by the SmartWay program and CARB.

CSS applies for state and federal grant funding on behalf of the trucking community. By working closely with banking partners, we are able to combine available state or federal grant funding, tax credits and low interest financing to make affordable equipment available to truck owners who may otherwise not qualify for conventional lending.
In just over four years, we have helped more than 5,000 truck owners located in all continental states and Alaska improve their fuel efficiency and reduce harmful exhaust emissions. Projects are now saving over 14,000 gallons of diesel fuel every day with a combined savings of over 12 million gallons. But, there are many more truck owners in need of affordable financing than CSS is able to service.
